Anger Management classes helps individuals learn to manage anger, stop violence or the threat of violence, develop self-control over thoughts and actions, and to receive support and feedback from others in a safe, confidential environment. Greenpath’s anger management classes are designed to help individuals better understands their feelings and how to address them more productively. Classes are based upon the Duluth Model approach as well as utilizing the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model.
Domestic Violence/No Abuse
Domestic Violence/No Abuse classes help individuals learn to stop violence or threatening violence directed at his/her spouse, develop self-control over violent thoughts or actions, and to receive support and feedback from others in a safe, confidential environment. Greenpath’s Domestic Violence courses are designed to help individuals better understand and cope with their feelings more productively.
Goal:
Greenpath aims to provide clients with the awareness, understanding, and skills to build basic knowledge combined with individual and group counseling approaches to best understand the concept of controlling their temper before it reaches abuse status. This educational, therapeutic process will enable clients and their spouses to enjoy more productive marriages and higher quality lives.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the Anger Management and Domestic Violence/No Abuse course, the client should be able to gain sound knowledge in the relevant areas of the effects of anger issues/domestic violence and its consequences.
Scheduling:
Classes meet once or twice per week from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, OR from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Wednesday one hour per class, for 26 weeks (approximately 3-6 months.) Classes are available on referrals, sliding self-pay scale to all demographics for both adolescents and adults. Greenpath's Anger Management and Domestic Violence course consists of 26 one-hour classes meeting once or twice per week.
Completion:
Following the participant’s successful completion of Greenpath’s Anger Management and Domestic Violence course, the client shall receive a certificate of completion, indicating he/she has mastered the knowledge to manage their anger.
